We would like to develop a website similar to guru.com but specifically oriented towards contract photography and Photoshop work. The site would allow employers to post and professional photographers and Photoshop professionals to search the jobs based on their level of membership to the site. Posting of jobs by employers is free however to submit a proposal to a specific job by a professional would require membership. Payment to the professional is handled via an escrow service when the work is completed and approved. The professionals would have profiles listing the type of photography or Photoshop work they would like to specialize in. Subscription would include up to three profiles.
I’m not looking to duplicate what they are doing but simply use that as a starting point and tailor it specifically towards photography and Photoshop work.
I know everyone says they have a small budget for this and we are no exception. It's just my wife and I so money is tight. We are budgeting somewhere around $1500 for this project.
We would like to launch this within the next 6 months or so but were flexible on the dates.
