OVERALL GOALS
This company is a small business (55 employees, 3 offices in VA) that provides consulting and engineering services to the public and private sector. Goal is to change an basic, outdated site into one that is more professional and meets the following objectives:
- conveys more information about the firm's services
- archives newsletters
- attracts potential employees with job postings
- allows visitors to contact the firm directly
- is user-friendly and easy-to-navigate
- Is easy to update and maintain in-house
SIZE OF WEBSITE
We anticipate having 3 levels to our site as follows:
Level one - an attractive looking homepage with links to the following:
1) our services (there are 9)
2) "about the company"
3) employment opportunities
4) archived newsletters
5) "contact us"
Level 2 - a page for each of the five items listed above
1) Link to a page for descriptions of each of 9 services
2) A page containing information about the company
3) A page listing current job openings
4) A page listing archived newsletters
5) A page providing a method of contacting the firm
Level 3 - Each of the 9 service pages will have links to a page of project examples for that service (9 in all)
Total number of pages (including homepage - 23
We do not need logo development or content development - we will provide all of that to you. We just need someone to design an appropriate, professional layout, walk us through the design process, get the information posted, instruct us how to maintain and update the site and register us on all large search engines.
TIME FRAME
Desired time frame is within 3 months of the starting date, but preferably less if possible.
EXPECTED BUDGET
Are not locked into a budget - the main goal is to get a quality, average-size site - estimated not to exceed $5,000.
