1. Buyers seeking web development services fill out a quick project request form.
2. The project is posted to the web development project board.
3. The project is reviewed by registered service providers.
4. Providers send bids via email to the buyer.
5. The buyer reviews the bids and selects a provider.
6. Provider works on the project until completed.

How does a website design company become a provider?

To submit a company for review, please fill out the Service Providers Sign Up Form.
All applications are reviewed within 48 hours.

Please note, access to providers is limited based on the number of projects posted. As the number of projects increases, we will notify additional providers who have applied for access.

What does it cost to sign up with Developreneurs?

There is no signup or monthly service fee. Companies are only responsible for a small percentage fee of 5% for each job completed. Exact payment details will be provided after being approved as a provider.

How do we receive payment for services completed?

All projects and fees are negotiated with the buyer. The buyer pays a provider directly. Once a job has been paid for, the provider is then required to send a fee to Developreneurs.

What are we responsible for paying when a project is completed?

Providers are responsible for paying 5% of the total initial project cost. Additional fees for future hosting or revisions are not required. For example, if a provider charges $1,500 for the project, with an additional $35 a month for hosting, the commission fee is $75 (5% of $1,500 = $75).

Do we have to pay 5% of the initial deposit?

If the project is going to be completed within a short period of time (1-3 weeks), providers can wait until the project is completed before making payment. If the contract is for a large, or long term project, payment of 5% needs to be made at each payment installment.

   How do we pay Developreneurs?

Click to make a payment to Developreneurs. For providers unable to pay via credit card, an address for checks and money orders is provided.

   Where do we log in?

Providers with active accounts can log in on the following page: Providers Login

How do we edit our company profile?

To edit your company profile you must first login. On the main admin page click the link titled "Edit Profile". On the next page will be a form with the fields filled out with your current information. Make the appropriate changes, then click the button titled "Update Your Profile" at the bottom of the form. When your profile is updated successfully you will be redirected back to the main admin page.

How do we bid on projects?

To bid on projects you must first login. On the main admin page click the link titled "View Projects". On the next page will be the project board listing the most recent projects. Click on the title of a project to view the description and current bids. To bid on the project click the "Submit A Bid" link at the top of the page just above the bid description. The next page will list the project description for reference, and contains two fields. Enter the numeric amount you wish to bid on the project. You are only allowed to enter numbers, and the amount must be the full bid amount for the project. Hourly bids are not allowed as a main bid, however, you can explain an hourly rate in the second field where you enter your bid description. When buyers do not post enough information to make an accurate bid, submit a ballpark estimate, state is as such, and request additional information. Once both fields are filled out properly, click the "Submit Your Bid" button at the bottom of the form. Once your bid has been submitted successfully, click the link on the next page titled "Return To The Project Board". You will return to the same page the project you just bid on is located.

Why are we not able to bid on projects?

Providers must have at least 4 projects, with images, in their portfolio before bidding on projects. If you are able to log in, but are not able to bid on projects, please be sure you have at least 4 projects with images in your portfolio. To check your portfolio click the "Edit Portfolio" link. On the next page is a form to add a new project. At the bottom of the page is a sample design portfolio displaying the first four projects with their images. Please be sure you can see 4 projects and that the images are displaying properly. If you are still unable to bid on a project, please contact Provider Services.

How do we edit our company portfolio?

To edit your company portfolio you must first login. On the main admin page click the link titled "Edit Portfolio". On the next page is a form to add a new project. In the first field enter the title of your project, for example, the name of the website. In the second field enter a brief description of the project. If the project you are entering is an existing website, you can enter the link of the website in the third field. Please note, links to provider websites are strictly prohibited. The link must go to the actual working website the project refers to. Providers posting links to their company website will be terminated.

To upload an image for the project, click the "Browse" button beside the fourth field. A pop up window will appear displaying the contents of your computer. Navigate to the folder containing the image for your project. Once you find the image, double click to select, you will know the image is selected properly when it displays in the "File name:" field beside the "Browse" button. To upload the image and the rest of the project information, click the "Submit Your Project" button.

How do we upload an image to an existing project in our portfolio?

To upload an image for the project go to the main admin panel and click the link to "Edit Portfolio". If you are submitting a new project refer to the FAQ "How do we edit our company portfolio?" If you are trying to add an image to an existing project, look at the list under the portfolio submission form titled "Portfolio Project List Summary". Find the name of the project you wish to edit and click the "Edit" link to the right of the project name. On the next page you will see the "Project Image" field near the top of the page. To upload a new image, click the "Browse" button to the right of the field. A pop up window will appear displaying the contents of your computer. Navigate to the folder containing the image for your project. Once you find the image, double click to select, you will know the image is selected properly when it displays in the "File name:" field beside the "Browse" button. To upload the image, click the "Update Your Project" button.

   How do we contact buyers?

When a company submits a bid on the project board an email containing both the bid and all pertinent contact information will be sent to the client. It will then be up to the client to respond to your bid via the contact information you provide. A copy of the bid, will also be sent to the provider for their records.

Why are we not allowed to contact buyers directly?

Providers are not allowed to contact buyers directly to prevent abusive solicitation practices. Buyers post projects on Developreneurs to receive bids, but do not expect to receive solicitations via email or telephone. Restricting providers to the project board allows buyers to post projects without any concerns of unwanted solicitations.

Why are domain names and links to our websites not allowed?

Domain names and links to websites are not allowed to prevent deceptive bid practices. Developreneurs originally allowed domain names and links to websites, but providers were posting false bids in an attempt to simply display their company information on the project board. Providers are allowed to post links to the actual website of a portfolio project they have completed. Please note, links to provider websites are strictly prohibited. The link must go to the actual working website the portfolio project refers to. Providers posting links to their company website will be terminated.

Why do some providers have logos, but ours is a Developreneurs logo?

Providers who do not have a company logo icon uploaded to their profile have the Developreneurs icon displayed as a default. To upload your company logo you must first login. On the main admin page click the link titled "Edit Logos". The first section is for the small icon that is displayed beside your company name.

To upload your company icon, click the "Browse" button to the right of the field. A pop up window will appear displaying the contents of your computer. Navigate to the folder containing the image for your icon. Once you find the image, double click to select, you will know the image is selected properly when it displays in the "Project Image:" field beside the "Browse" button. To upload the image, click the "Update Company Icon Logo" button.

To upload the larger company logo that is displayed in your portfolio, click the "Browse" button to the right of the field in the second section titled "Update Your Company Portfolio Logo". A pop up window will appear displaying the contents of your computer. Navigate to the folder containing the image for your logo. Once you find the image, double click to select, you will know the image is selected properly when it displays in the "Project Image:" field beside the "Browse" button. To upload the image, click the "Update Company Portfolio Logo" button.

Why do some providers have a gold seal beside their company name?

Developreneurs encourages providers to list as many projects as possible in their portfolio to give buyers proper representation of their work. Providers with at least 8 projects in their portfolio have a gold seal displayed by their name. Please note: there must be 8 unique projects in your portfolio. Posting duplicate portfolio projects, or false projects to reach a total of 8 is strictly prohibited.

How are the bids ordered on the project pages?

There are two sets of bids, providers with seals and providers without seals. The seals indicate that a provider has at least 8 projects in their portfolio. Providers with seals are listed above those that do not. For each section the bids are arranged in the order they are entered, with the first bid at the top, last bid at the bottom.

What is the "Project Notification Status" field for?

Providers have the option of receiving an email notification with a description of the project and a link to login, every time a new project is posted to the project board. The Project Notification Status form on the main admin page allows you to select which types of projects you want to receive a notification for when posted. To receive a notification be sure the box for that type of project is selected. For example, if you want to receive notifications only for website design and graphic design, check those boxes and have the two boxes for marketing and programming unselected.
